Dear Friends,

We have come a long way since our journey began more than four years ago. In our time together, we have accomplished so much that we can be proud of. It has been my pleasure to serve you. At this time, I would like to announce to you that I will be seeking a second term to continue to serve as your District 2 Councilwoman for the City of South Fulton.

As your representative, it has been my privilege to have been a part of the change that we currently see in South Fulton. We have done some amazing work in such a short period of time and again, we have so much to be proud of. When I ran for office, I was guided by the belief that the City of South Fulton deserved better. Since my election, I have pushed for quality schools, safe and thriving neighborhoods, an improved quality of life, strategic economic development, and a responsive and transparent local government.

I am proud to say that we have achieved many of these goals, and we have more work to do. In the four years of my term, I have been able to accomplish some significant goals that include the following highlights:

Public Safety and Accountability

District 2 has maintained the lowest crime rate since the City’s existence. With your help, we’ve sponsored legislation to realign police beats for better efficiency and response times by supporting the City of South Fulton’s opening of the Butner Road Police Precinct and thus created a Citywide Neighborhood Watch Program in the district. This has decreased many of our communities’ traffic related problems specifically addressing ATV problems, cut-through traffic in neighborhoods, and prohibiting street racing. We are building a Safer South Fulton.

Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency

On your behalf, I have sponsored key legislation for Open.Gov, providing real-time financial data to residents as well as sponsoring legislation for Public Comments and Transparency for residents to receive updates and responses provided during public meetings. I am proud to say, our financial outlook is strong, and solid.

Strategic Economic Development

Introduced legislation for the South Fulton Downtown Development Authority, designating equitable, quality economic development opportunities throughout the City of South Fulton. As a part of our commitment to small businesses, I sponsored the Brunch Bill, the Sustainability Small Business Loan Program, and the Filming Ordinance.

Improving Quality Life Issues

In our efforts to keep District 2 safe and vibrant, legislation was created to place a halt on construction development for building rental communities that could jeopardize home ownership. I also implemented regulations to sanction short-term rentals in our communities. The City of South Fulton is now thriving due to Smoke Free zones, stronger Noise Ordinances, Clean Energy legislation, and strengthened Anti-Litter laws.

I have passed numerous legislation with the support of my colleagues, but we have so much more work to do as we continue to create the City of South Fulton as the model city we want for our children and our families. I fully believe we deserve this, but we cannot do this without you. I cannot do this without you. Your vote for me is a vote for our families. For our community. For our future. Please vote for tested, proven, effective leadership, and for a bold vision with real results. It would be my absolute honor to serve a second term on behalf of the residents in District 2. Please know this…I am committed to “Working for Us”.
